It was October 2017 when I first talked to Mark through Zillow. I was out-of-state at that time but planned on moving back to Chicago. I had been looking for an apartment for a few months and it had been somewhat stressful to say the least. As soon as I saw Mark's listing in Zillow though I requested to see it right away because the place looked updated, within the area I've been searching for, pet-friendly and still within budget. Basically, it has everything our family was looking for. Mark responded quick and said that we can have a look the next day. My fiance and dad checked it out-it was very clean, looked exactly as it did on the photos and was just recently updated (which includes the kitchen, water heater, AC, and laundry/washer unit). The rent also included grass cutting, snow removal and water bill, which were huge pluses since we don't have to worry about those. We had a lot of questions but Mark patiently answered all of them. We applied the next day- it was a very straightforward and easy process and got approved the day after.
Fortunately for my family, Mark is also the property manager. We've moved so many times before so it is 100% true when I say that he has been the best manager we've had so far - very reliable, professional and yet personable, very easy to talk to. Whenever we have an issue, even the smallest thing, he responds fast and there is resolution within just a matter of hours or few days. In our old apartments, it would take weeks or even months before any of our complaints get resolved. I believe he already has an established group of people working with him to fix any apartment issues. In a house filled with students and full-time workers with odd hours, it’s great to have someone ease the burden regarding household maintenance.
Mark might not know this but we feel like he is part of our family. He takes a really good care of us. Even our neighbor, who's part of the same apartment building, said that he is reliable. He is a big part of the reason why we extended our lease. Aside from the fact that the apartment is already really nice and lovely, having a personable and reliable landlord/property manager takes a lot of stress off our shoulder and had given us the peace of mind we need.
Mark is always friendly, helpful and reliable. When I first contacted him regarding an apartment listed for rental, I was impressed by how responsive and professional he was. Even though I was from out of town, he offered to send me a detailed video of the apartment that same day, and answered all the concerns that I had with honesty.
He continued to be very attentive for the 2+ years that I spent at that apartment, and occasionally came in even late at night to offer assistance.
I highly recommend him, and am very grateful for all the service he continues to provide on a daily basis!
Marjan was great to work with! He was professional and knowledgeable. He was always prompt with responding to any questions we had and helped us out every step of the way. I will be working with him again in the future.
